About the village and the area
Villes-sur-Auzon and Sourroundings
Nestled at the foot of Mount Ventoux, Villes-sur-Auzon is a small village of around 1300 inhabitants. It is situated among vineyards and cherry trees and lavender fields. The mountains surrounding the village shelter it from the wind, and ensure a sunny, warm and dry climate.
The village has plenty of character with a variety of services (Bakery, several restaurants, a bar with lovely garden seating, two supermarkets and a library). There is even a winery selling a variety of locally produced wine at very good prices.
Thanks to the proximity of the "Giant of Provence" it is a lovely base for discovering the area by bike, but also on foot with many hiking trails nearby.
Villes-sur-Auzon is around 45 minutes drive from Avignon (which has a TGV station and international airport). Marseille with its International airport is another option 1h 15min away.
